Phillips saying the Mets need to get rid of Beltran. And, he would know. Look at all the guys who played CF when Phillips was the GM: Brian MacRae, Jay Payton, Preston Wilson, Benny Agbayani, Timo Perez, Jason Tyner, Joe McEwing, Alex Escobar, Roger Cedeno, Jeff Duncan and Tsuyoshi Shinjo.
If only Beltran could be as good as those guys.
