Busy sports time of year with the Knicks, Rangers, Yankees and Mets. And the Devils too. I think the Knicks will take a game or two in the series but I don't think they will ever win anything with Carmelo.

Lol - listening to fattie right now.

Which one of you idiots called and said 'They (Knick players) can't even set a pick for Novack......

Mike didn't really kill the guy, but obviously you don't set a pick for a catch & shoot player.

Other than that, Mike did say thet The Heat were looking for someone to guard. "They were lookingfor someone to guard, but they couldn't find anyone!!!)

I just laughge at that because it is too true.

...The horseracing talk is indulgent garbage...,a couple of people might want to hear it I'm sure but that doesn't help Hockey and tThe Rangers when they get a good roll going. They are looking as good as they have since......

If Mike didn't own or used to own a race horse, I don't believe horse racing would be a big topic on his show even with the Derby tomorrow. Dog always seemed to abhor talking about horse racing much like Mike used to do the same with tennis, a favorite sport of Dog's.

When I heard Mike's opening monologue about nobody should call in and complain about Mariano taking fly balls in the outfield, I immediately thought Mike from Montclair would do just that.

No picks but how about running him through screens down the baseline. You can have two screens, it would drive Miami crazy trying to get a third player to the three point line after two got caught in a screen. Not only would they spring him open for a three, if Miami caught up to him, it would present multiple opportunities for other players to score.

The point is Woodson is doing nothing to get Novak open, absolutely nothing, he is not a good coach. He never even went back to any of the bench players that built the lead to 10 in the second quarter.

Bill Daughtry of 1050 am is a tool, he's telling Knicks fan they have a lot to get excited about next year and Woodson should be brought back. Daughtry is such a Knick shill. The only chance the Knicks have is Phil Jackson takes 50 million dollars, he convinces Anthony to do everything he says, somehow Anthony wakes up that if he actually got into shape and learned how to play the team game in the triangle offense, he could possibly get close to a ring.

Does anyone think that Anthony actually brings a level of commitment to the gym, he looks overweight and huffs and puffs down the court.

I'm glad the Knicks won and Carmelo had a great day, even if they lose in Game 5. I've had my criticisms of Anthony but he is too talented a player for Knicks fans to give up on yet. And even though he doesn't seem to be in great shape, he can't be that bad if he is able to score in the fourth quarter.

I do agree with one caller that there are times he misses open players. I saw Amare cut across the lane, nobody on him and Anthony refused to pass it to him.

Who knows, maybe the Francesa jinx will work again, he declared all day that Game 5 was already a loss.

At least we didn't hear the repeat of the Shumpert injury. He bragged that he was watching the game with a sports doctor who knew right away that Shumpert tore his ACL, yeah Mike, so did anyone else watching the game, with or without a medical degree.

I expected the Knicks to win 1 or 2 games even after they were down in the series. Really though these wins don't mean they had a real chance of winning the series. When a team is up 3-0, it is easy to slack off a bit and give up a few games before putting the other team away. The last game it looked like the Heat weren't trying all that hard to win especially that last shot.

Mike talking hockey is pretty bad radio. He has hockey guests and he acknowledges he is as clueless about hockey as Tony Paige is about sports in general. He is getting Ranger guests mainly, so we hear how wonderful the team is. Mike knowing nothing about hockey just asks generic question like "can the Rangers win in 7 games?". The guest says yes. Yawn....

Mike is so out of his element with hockey talk he probably wishes the Rangers and Devils get eliminated so he doesn't have to talk about it. Both those teams have played exciting series so far and one more win by each should make for a good conference final, much to the chagrin of Mike.
