Thoughts on the game

1. For 40 minutes, this was the best NBA game I had seen this year.

2. For the last 8 minutes Paul started becoming too unselfish and letting David West look for his own shot instead of driving and dishing to West for wide open jumpers that were there the entire game.

3. Paul then tried to take over again when the team was down 12 but it was too little too late as West missed 3 of 4 FTs that could have cut the game to 9 with 5 minutes and change left.

4. Pargo needs to play better so Paul doesn't have to kill himself for the entire second half like he did tonight

5. Tank will say the Spurs were in control the entire game when to a degree they were as they made tons of open shots and had wide open layups. However, they can't stop West and Paul and it's really going to show in upcoming games. The question is whether Tony Parker will continue to match Chris Paul because he will have to if the Spurs want to win this series.

6. Doris Burke actually did a decent job.

Tank will be in a good mood today after this Spurs win, which is why it will be so great when the Hornets win the next 2 games.
