I worked through school. If I wasn't in class, I was at the supermarket scanning groceries. Definitely a character-builder and it makes you learn how to budget your time.

That I'm still paying off, BTW. But I'm not complaining because some of my friends have it a LOT worse. They took out these ridiculous loans to get a worthless liberal arts degree (can't find a job in the field) at a prestigious college that they could have gotten at the local state university for a fraction of the cost.
